Past P2P Investments
My first P2P lending investments were made in October 2017. Since then, several platforms have been part of my P2P portfolio. Below is a transparent overview of my completed P2P investments. What overall returns did I achieve with these platforms, and what were the reasons for my exit?
Bondora Portfolio Pro
I made my first P2P investments via Bondora Portfolio Pro in October 2017 using a relatively progressive investment approach. Within 12 months, EUR 14,000 had already been invested. Due to steadily declining returns and the absence of additional deposits, the investment was ended in summer of 2019. Even today, some late interest is still generated through repayments from defaulted loans. Current total return: 2.57%.
Mintos
At the same time as Bondora Portfolio Pro, I also started investing on Mintos (October 2017). My exit followed the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, driven by various questionable platform measures and controversial lending company entanglements. In October 2022, I wrote off the remaining EUR 1,118 in recovery as a loss. This resulted in a total return of 7.22% over a five-year period.
NEO Finance
My investment on NEO Finance began in April 2019 after I had personally visited the platform in Vilnius beforehand. More than a year later, I ended the investment. Structural issues as well as missing and sometimes contradictory communication were the main reasons. In November 2023, I wrote off the remaining EUR 358 in recovery as a loss. In the end, I achieved a total return of 8.69%.
Viainvest
At the same time as NEO Finance, I also began investing on Viainvest. The platform, on which I achieved double-digit returns every single year, was one of my personal favorites for many years. Unfortunately, Viainvest is the only Latvian P2P platform where legal entities cannot register. As this condition has been a mandatory requirement for the continuation of my investment, I exited the platform in 2025. The final repayments were received in April 2026. My total return: 11.15%. No losses.
Debitum
With my investment starting in June 2019, Debitum is also among the first platforms in my P2P portfolio. The reasons for my exit, which took place in the first half of 2022, were the limited loan supply, uncompetitive interest rates, changes in management, and shortcomings in the risk assessment of the Ukraine portfolio. Taking into account a loss of EUR 300 that has been stuck since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, I achieved a total return of 5.83%. Otherwise, it would have been 8.82%.
Profitus
In May 2023, I started a test investment on the Lithuania-based crowdfunding platform Profitus. Twenty months later, I was able to end the investment with a total return of 9.35% and no losses. The decision to exit was made in order to consolidate my P2P portfolio. At that time, Crowdpear appeared to be the better alternative.
HeavyFinance / InSoil Finance
My first investments on InSoil Finance (formerly HeavyFinance) were made in June 2023, driven by the opportunity to achieve above-average returns from investments in Green Loans. As the timeline for issuing the first CO₂ certificates was repeatedly postponed, I started to exit the platform after two years. Currently, two loans with a total value of EUR 193 remain in recovery. The total return stands at 8.87%.
Fintown
Fintown was also a new test investment in March 2024. The final repayments were received in February 2026. Total return: 10.64%. No losses. The reasons for my exit were both the consolidation of my P2P portfolio and the realization that the complexity of real-estate-backed investments is too high for my own evaluation expertise.
FAQ P2P Portfolio
My P2P lending portfolio consists of my personal investments in the P2P environment. My active P2P portfolio is shown as well as my terminated investments. In addition, investors can find information about my current return, the investment start and the current investment status.
I want my readers to get an understanding how much “skin in the game” I have with different P2P platforms. Transparency is an important aspect to underline the credibility of my content as well as to reveal possible conflicts of interest.
I started to invest in P2P lending in October 2017. At the time I started with € 2,000 each at Bondora and Mintos.
Every investor should think about their preferences and therefore which platforms fit into their own P2P portfolio. My personal P2P portfolio can be seen as an inspiration, but I would not recommend a 1:1 replication.
