New Lender on Esketit: Lionpro

Esketit has added a new lender called Lionpro to its platform. The brand is operated by Latvian SIA L.J. Linen, a family-owned company that has been trading raw materials for animal feed for more than 30 years and is active in over 50 countries. The financing is used for working capital to fund trading cycles of three to five months.

The loans are offered on Esketit with an interest rate of 8%. They are secured by a group guarantee and a pledge over trading assets, including goods in transit, inventories, and receivables of the group companies. In this context, Esketit clarified that the World Bank’s MIGA guarantee of $9 million covers only political risks related to the Kenyan business and does not cover the receivables acquired on the platform.

According to the company, the group generated revenue of €61.7 million in 2025 and a gross profit of €8.9 million. Net profit amounted to just €630,000, equivalent to around 1% of revenue. For context, commodity trading is a high-volume business with thin margins, meaning the strength of the group guarantee is heavily dependent on the results generated in any given year.
